The risk of combining ideas

I lived in a small space and I found it inconvenient how existing laundry racks only allow you to use the whole equipment, which takes up a lot of space. So I made it flexible depending on how much or how little space you want it to occupy by flipping it over and extending it.

To extend it horizontally, I applied the X-shaped folding structure which is typically found in a commercial drying rack. To make it more compact, I made the horizontal rods slide to each other.

However, this ended up being a lot more unstable than the typical one I saw in the store, due to the horizontal axis always getting twisted because of the X-shaped structure. Combining different structural ideas can always have unexpected risks like this.
